materials
we think there is an epidemic of poorly designed climbing gear using outdated materials. we are here to provide climbers with equipment as good as the fanciest running, hiking and skiing brands in the world today.
chalk bags have gone mostly unchanged since the early 2000s. every other part of the kit got modernized. so why leave the trusty chalkbag behind?
ultra weave
Ultra Weave is an Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene fabric that’s lighter than nylon and stronger than steel at the same weight.
The face fabric is made from recycled polyester, and it’s completely waterproof and tearproof.
Nobody likes wet chalk or gear, and we want our bags to last as long as they can. Not to mention the weight savings, unique texture, and hand feel.
This fabric is compelling and improves the bags we use every day.
Magnetist Closure System™
The Magnetist Closure System™ — the magnetic closure that seals the bucket, and the hardware base for the V99 Brush System.
A magnet closes faster and more reliably than a buckle, one hand. The same magnetic hardware also carries the V99 Brush System, a separate magnetic brush attachment that mounts to the outside of the bucket.
If V99 is ever going to happen, it won't be because Daniel Woods' grandson was fiddling around with a regular brush loop. The V99 Brush Attachment makes brushing your holds and keeping track of your brush easier than ever. Slip it over whichever brush you want to use, and enjoy the 8lbs of magnetic strength as it "clicks" your brush into the same place every time!
The Magnetist Closure System is better than other closures out there because it pops open when you want it to and snaps shut easily. This means less spilled chalk. Both of these features can be used with just one hand.
ultra stretch
Or better known as the Cool-Touch Liner.
Ultra Stretch is made with a blend of spandex and Dyneema. Neither of these materials have any thermal properties, so somehow this fabric is cooling to the touch! (That's why at Endless we call it the Cool-Touch Liner.) Besides the cooling aspect, when used for the Sportsman's Purse, the drawcord will always cinch tight because the liner will stretch into place. Fleece just seems to be inherited from the 90s as a chalkbag liner.
It's okay if you can never keep your hands warm enough, but for most of us, and especially in the warmer months, we will take every bit of performance enhancement we can. It feels great in the gym and even better outside, and doesn't store moisture like fleece does.
color ripstop
Recycled nylon ripstop with a dyneema grid.
The dyneema grid is structural: a tear stops at the next thread instead of running. Another benefit of this fabric is its ability to slightly stretch, which makes it great for pockets and gives it an edge in long term durability.
Design Dogma
We want our gear to be lightweight, durable, and weather resistant. We pay close attention to new materials and opportunities, and that changes every year.
When working on a new product, sometimes the fabric comes first. Other times, we start with a problem we want to solve or a use-case that deserves more attention.
We design, prototype and test everything in Denver, Colorado. Then we get it production-ready and bring it to market. It takes a team and we are proud to source and produce within the USA at the moment.
